This Sunday, we were honored to host a wedding reception for Sarah and Alberto. Sarah is Indian and Alberto is Mexican so they chose to incorporate traditions from both cultures to create a truly unique and unforgettable event.
With 350 guests, West Belmont Place’s 16,000 sq. ft. Ballroom, was the perfect venue to accommodate the couple’s needs. Yaadein Weddings decorated with light blue up-lights and provided a beautiful white stage for picture taking. There was a mix of round and rectangular tables with white linens and purple orchid centerpieces.
It was also important to both the bride and groom that there was food representing both cultures. Shahi Grill provided the catering and captured both the Indian and Mexican spirit. Part of the buffet consisted of traditional Indian dishes such as Biryani, Tandoori fish, Veal korma and Naan. Ending the buffet was a fajita station, which all of the guests loved. For dessert there was Tres Leches cake, Gajar Halwa and traditional Mexican cookies.
Apart from the food, decorations and entertainment from both cultures was present. After guests enjoyed a delicious lunch, a piñata was hung outside for everyone to enjoy. Soon after, the sounds of Ay Ay Ay, a local Mariachi band, could be heard serenading each table. There was also an eclectic mix of Bollywood music being played in the background during the reception.
This was truly a unique and breathtaking wedding and we here at West Belmont Place were delighted to be part of such a special day.
