Executive Chef Todd GoldianLocal Chefs Compete To Create a Better Future for Loudoun County Students and At-Risk Communities

This Saturday, October 7, 2017, West Belmont Place at The National is proud to be hosting the 5th Annual Loudoun Men Are Cooking (LMAC) culinary competition and tasting party, featuring amateur and professional chefs from the Northern Virginia region. Our culinary team, led by Executive Chef Todd Goldian, is very excited to be hosting this event for the 5th consecutive year.

LMAC is organized by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Psi Rho Omega Chapter, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Sigma Mu Mu Chapter.  These organizations serve the Loudoun County community by providing scholarships and community programs targeting educational enrichment, health promotion, and family strengthening.  In addition, the Pearls of Loudoun Endowment, an affiliate of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Educational Advancement Foundation, and the Operation Uplift Foundation are each 501(c)3 non-profit organizations striving to become Loudoun County’s premier scholarship foundations.

We find great synergy between the goals of the LMAC organizers and our very own.  West Belmont Place always strives to support our local community not only through the hosting of a variety of charitable events such as this, but also, as the largest hospitality employer in Loudoun County, we engage a significant number of local students every year providing income and valuable experience that can only be found in a professional work environment.

Fifty professional and amateur chefs will prepare gourmet fare to delight the palates of over 300 guests. To spice up the competition, professional chefs will share some of their kitchen secrets and cooking tips while offering up their signature dishes.

Judges will determine whose dish ranks supreme; however, guests should save room to vote for their “Foodie Favorite” as well.  While sampling bold appetizers, creative sides, enticing entrees, and decadent desserts, guests will be treated to a delightful live performance by local favorite: theJust’s Friends Band and Show.

There are many ways for you to participate in this charitable event.  Tickets for Loudoun Men Are Cooking are $70/adult. Sponsorship opportunities range from $500 – $2,000.  Tickets and sponsorship can be purchased here:  http://bit.ly/2xts4om.  Interested in serving as a chef?  E-mail your application to Info@LMACooking.com

Don’t miss this evening filled with fabulous food and exciting entertainment, all for the benefit of our local community!
