3 Holiday Party Ideas

3 Holiday Party Ideas

Holiday party ideas can be hard to execute, but we’re ready to talk turkey … holiday parties … that is. West Belmont Place, the largest ballroom in Northern Virginia, along with a variety of intimate options at The National Conference Center, provide events that support a company’s mission. Our professional event staff can create a fun and different holiday party ideas. Here are our favorites:

  1. A Family Affair.
When a corporation or association has a true family-work balance policy, what better way to spend the holiday than decorating cookies with your family? Our culinary team will prepare a variety of sugar cookies for your staff and their families to decorate. We will provide draped tables, decorating tools, food coloring, a variety of candies and decorations, plus royal icing in pastry bags with decorating tips. We can add a caricature artist, arcade games, and dance music, while Santa makes a special appearance to give gifts to the children. Chef makes an awesome Mac & Cheese that can be added to a kid’s food station, along with holiday favorites for the adults.
  1. Be a Naturalist…Deck the Halls GREEN.
As many event planners know, The National and West Belmont Place has the Green Seal™ GS-33 Silver rating and is Virginia Green™ certified. We take proactChristmas tree farm in Loudoun Countyive measures to save energy, reduce the depletion of renewable and nonrenewable resources and protect our land, water, and air. We are serious about sustainable events and have established The National Green Team to set policies that achieve our goals of hosting eco-friendly events. Our Food and Beverage Director, Todd Goldian, has taken the food and beverage program up a notch to a hyper-local program, purchasing from over 60 vendors including buying wines from Loudoun County wineries, breweries, and distillers. He will help create a locally grown menu, along with the planning team to decorate with a natural, woodsy theme using fresh pine trees, wreaths, and table decor. We could organize a trip to one of Loudoun County’s Christmas Tree farms for you and your guests to pick out a tree to decorate at The National. The party could conclude with a sing-along around the fire pits while toasting marshmallows for S’mores.
  1. Do well by the Community.
There’s no better team building then helping others. We work closely with many local non-profits and can help you find the cause that fits your corporate mission. Putting your time and money toward a reputable cause is a win|win for everyone. For example, The National serves as a storage facility for the Washington, DC Toys for Tots. By helping to sort and deliver toys to families, you and your staff would be helping many children and families in the local community. Another option is to put together food baskets for one of the many non-profit groups in Loudoun County. You and your staff would get a list of food items that you would purchase and Salvation Army Toys for Totsdeliver to The National. We would provide a room for you to organize the baskets plus a variety of baskets, tissue paper, ribbons, and gift tags, along with cookies and milk (or hot toddies and biscotti) for you to enjoy while you’re working. After the work is completed, the group can enjoy an informal holiday buffet with music and song from one of our local school choral groups.
