On behalf of the FAA Flight Standards, Eastern Region Managers, Thank You for our week at the National Conference Center (NCC).  The NCC proved to be just what we needed in terms of a complete meeting package with a location central to the field offices in Eastern Region.  I have received many positive comments from our  managers about the National staff, the meeting areas, the dining experience, and the other facilities that helped promoting team networking and information sharing in relaxed professional environment.

You and the NCC team did an excellent job accommodating our needs.  Probably the best thank you we can pass along is that we are already discussing the potential of using The NCC for future Eastern Region events.

This morning, Jim Morin certified the National Conference Center’s invoice for our meetings and stay the week of June 20th.  Our FAA contracting office has already approved the payment.  I also want to thank you for support you provided to Jim in setting up our event.  Jim will continue to be our point of contact.

 

I look forward to Eastern Region using The National again.

I was very happy with how well the Technology Challenge went yesterday and appreciate that there were no hiccups and impressed by how smoothly everything went.  The governor had a really great experience and all the kids had a good time too. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the National Conference Center for the outstanding customer service and support you provided to the United States Air Force Inspector General conference. From beginning to end, the 2015 conference ran flawlessly!

From the planning process leading up to the event through its final execution, my staff and the more than 250 attendees were complimentary of The National’s facilities and personnel. The configuration of West Belmont Place allowed us to consolidate all our conference funtions into a centralized location affording attendees additional time for networking and team building. As always, Mr. Bill Gibson, Ms. Janice Fullerton, and Ms. Kelli Mueller anticipated our every need and were instrumental in tending to every last detail to ensure our conference resulted in a first-class event. Additionally, Ms. Stephanie Shuron-Powell (Reservations Agent) and Ms. Nancy Collins (Reservations Website Setup and Design), and Mr. Albert Zogdy (Audio Visual Technician) each went above and beyond in meeting our every need.

Please accept my personal thanks for the outstanding support you and your team has consistently provided to the United States Air Force over the years with our training venues. Well done!

One of my favorite places for a private dinner or reception type event is The National Conference Center and West Belmont Place Event Center in Leesburg.  I’ve attended several functions there in the past and find their food and service to be over the top.  The National routinely host discovery events so that invitees can explore the facility and enjoy a bit of fine dining before scheduling an event.  This would be an excellent choice for any and all future events simply because you can change the venue to match the event.

My wife and I will leave tomorrow, but our reason for being here is because our son (and daughter-in-law) were married yesterday. Everything went very well. Many of our guests traveled several hundred miles, and they also were very happy. We all liked the fact that everything was in one place. You did not have to drive from one venue to another. Also your entire staff went out of their way to be helpful on every request.

Two people do stand out among the staff: Rachael, the wedding coordinator, and Jamal. Jamal was always in the right place at the right time, and always with a smile.

We leave tomorrow and we will tell everyone about how we were impressed with the venue and of course, every person here.

I will also add that your prices are very competitive with other lesser hotels/motels in Leesburg. So the next time we need to be in Leesburg we will be staying at the Conference Center.

Your team put up a 5-Star performance for our program.  The key was stellar communication and execution.  Your team was the best.  I felt I was in very good and competent hands throughout the multi-month planning process,  A special word of thanks to Rachael Rutherford, she made my life so much easier.  The excellence permeated all the way through your organization.  The professionalism of your service staff is commendable. Your presence, and that of your Executive Chef, and Kara Harmon, throughout the evening of our Awards Reception was very much noticed and appreciated.  The evening progressed flawlessly and those attending were uniformly impressed and were very generous with their compliments of the ambiance and cuisine.

To Geoff and the entire NCC Team,

I wanted to let you all know how much I have enjoyed working at The National for the past 9 months. This has been the biggest project I’ve worked on and with all the worrying and sleepless nights I had, the end results were excellent because of your entire staff. You all have been so helpful to me and other Verizon employees with the following tasks to make this project successful:

  • Suggesting alternative ways to setup our training rooms, getting items fixed, moved, delivered, card key access, you name it, these two did it while making it happen so quickly, Kelli and Ken are the best!! I have seen Kelli moving furniture herself and Ken shoveling snow off the walks.
  • The maintenance crews go nonstop during the day and night fixing any building issues that we needed done and keeping the grounds clean and nicely landscaped. All of them make up an excellent crew to work and have some laughs with.
  • Receiving building material and classroom material at the loading docks, storing material in the warehouse, delivering equipment to our rooms, receiving/sending mail and packages and keeping the coffee pot full. J Many thanks to Ray, Ronda, Sandy and Audrey.
  • The kitchen’s staff works hard to deliver excellent food and is always attentive and friendly. I’ve never had my hand shaken daily until I met Ernie and Gene.
  • Security does an excellent job as they are on the job 24/7. Elaine has always been there to assist our employees.
  • The entire stay starts at the front desk. They are always there with friendly smiles to help with many daily questions and of course Directions.
  • Housekeeping is another hard working group that never stops and does an excellent job. Thank You Hoan!!
  • After a long week it was nice to simply drop off my laundry at the front desk and have it delivered and hung in my closet by the end of the day. Thank you Omar!
  • The Black Olive…what better place to end the day with a drink from the friendly bartenders then discuss the daily activities, relax, play pool, listen to karaoke, meet new friends, learn about good wines from Chief Wine Officer, Mary Watson.

I can’t mention all of The National’s employees as there are so many but the three most important employees I have worked with closely to accomplish my responsibilities have been Ken Sullivan, Kelli Mueller and Joe Enders.

The decision to host our teambuilding retreat at the National Conference Center (The National) was a sound one. The National’s conference planning process, room accommodations, meeting accommodations and dining arrangements were ideally suited for the teambuilding retreat for our group. We were able to fully focus on the business at hand without distraction from day-to-day business and personal obligations that we would have normally encountered had we conducted our meeting retreat at our local facilities. The National proved just far enough and just isolated enough to “disconnect”, roll up our sleeves and work on meeting our teambuilding retreat objectives and outcomes. The National amenities were great also. We made good use of public spaces to conduct after-hours teambuilding activities.

Susanna, thank you for being our conference planner. You were a gracious host and great to work with. Also, please send my thanks and appreciation to Christina Berman who handled the contractual aspects of our meeting requirements and to the audio-visual engineer, Corey. He was courteous and extremely helpful in meeting our a/v needs. In fact, The National should pride itself on the customer service talents of its support staff. Everyone, from the baggage handlers, to the check-in clerks, to the dining staff demonstrated superior levels of customer service and a willingness to always be helpful. Their efforts reflect favorably on The National.

Thank you for such superb service as we celebrated Ashburn Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department’s 70th anniversary bash.

 As expected, but always appreciated, the venue was perfect, the food delicious (I personally received many compliments on the food including one from my wife who has a much more refined palate than I) and we always appreciate your patience for whatever our rowdier members may have done to you or  your staff this year.

 Speaking of staff, a special salute to Juan, the server of the president’s table. Since I was the MC for the event I expected to forego a wonderful dinner because of the time spent on stage. However, once I finally sat down there was Juan with my piping hot delicious dinner! Juan proved himself to be a very courteous server as well as an excellent representative of your organization. My compliments.

 Thank you again, Rachael. We truly enjoyed your hospitality.

My husband and I decided we wanted a more intimate/small wedding. We went out to visit the National Conference Center (also known as West Belmont Place) and loved all the green in the area and the convenience of having hotel rooms, ceremony, and the reception all in one place. The staff the day of was amazing! Rachael was our wedding coordinator and she was awesome-she remains so calm and goes with the flow of the stressful wedding parties/famililes. We had an awesome wedding and wouldn’t have picked a different venue at all!

Heaven on earth! I stumbled upon West Belmont Place while browsing through an issue of The Knot and called them to get additional information. We met with Rachael about 2 weeks later and everything else, is history. Rachael was very detail oriented and made sure to ask us a lot of questions to make sure that she could provide us with everything that we wanted. I love that we were able to get married, and have the reception at the same place. There’s also TONS of rooms available for your guests. Rachael was so great at answering every question and going over every detail with me. Even though she was out on maternity leave (from like June to August) the other members of her team, especially Shelby, were really great about helping me with anything I needed. We set up our tasting in May for our September wedding, and I still can’t get over how amazing the food was! They actually provided us with FULL PORTIONS of the meals, salads, and appetizers we would be having at the reception. Rachael also worked with me to get a timeline of the day put together and made sure that everyone in the wedding party had her cell phone number on the day of, just in case. Not only that, but she came up to the bridal suite (and also the room where the boys were getting ready) with a bottle of champagne! I was able to drop off everything (table numbers, place cards, etc.) the week of the wedding and she put in a secure location so that everything was in one place and ready to go. Rachael also made sure that everything we brought was collected and ready for us to pick up when we got back from our honeymoon. They also took all of our cards and presents up to the bridal suite so that we didn’t have to after the reception was over. Given that this really offers you a “one stop shop” and gets you everything you need in one place, their prices are great. They can also make changes to entrees (gluten-free, vegetarian, food allergies, etc.) at no extra charge. LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!!!! BEST EVER!!!!!

I am so happy I chose West Belmont Place as my venue. It’s a gorgeous venue with lush green grounds and lots of trees. The inside is very contemporary and artsy. But more than the look of the venue, what sold me was the superb customer service I received from Rachael Mull, my event planner at West Belmont Place. From our initial emails and first meeting till the end of the event, Rachael was a gem to work with. I visited 30 + potential venues for my wedding reception and no other venue came close to the great customer service I received from Rachael at West Belmont. She went above and beyond to make everything perfect for us. Every question, every request, every wish of mine – Rachael fulfilled.She did a superb job coordinating my wedding. I cannot say enough good things about her customer service. Besides Rachael, all the other staff we came into contact with at West Belmont was also really great. Everyone was so friendly and willing to help with a smile on their face. Their whole staff is great but since I worked with Rachael the closest, I would definitely say to request her as your event coordinator.

West Belmont is a beautiful location. The staff is very friendly and easy to work with. The coordinator Katie, was always fast to get back to myself or my parents with any questions we had. Also the food onsite was delicious!

Our venue ended up making our wedding even better than my husband and I had hoped, and after talking with several of my friends, I think it’s because Joe and his staff were so accommodating, helpful, flexible, and just overall great to work with!
