You and your family are invited to join us for our anniversary celebration in the park!
Bring your blanket or lawn chair and relax on our West Lawn with rotating LIVE jazz bands along with local wine and beer tastings and local food pairings. If it rains, we will bring the event inside.
Kids will enjoy the face painting, balloon animals, cotton candy, hot pretzels, popcorn, hot dogs and soft serve ice cream.
Kids can also compete in our Junior Iron Chef’s Competition ($20.00 entrance fee). There will be (2) age groups: Ages 6-12 and Ages 13-18. Chef Chris Ferrier will supply knives, cutting boards, sauce pans, burners and herbs from the organic, community garden, along with plates to present their creations. We will also have a “secret ingredient” station for each age group (no ovens will be provided). Participants will have 40 minutes to prepare their dishes (enough for 4 chefs to taste) and will be judged on taste, presentation, creativity, cleanliness and timing. Contest begins at 3:00 pm sharp. Participants must pre-register and check in by 2:45 pm. All proceeds will be donated to Hope’s Kitchen. Prize in each category is a Chef’s Table for 6 where the junior chef will prepare a meal in our kitchen with Chef Ferrier.
